Earlier this week, Chinese company Xiaomi made an announcement that they will be launching their first flagship of 2018 on 14th February, they gave a hint with a number “5” which confuses us between Redmi 5 and Redmi Note 5. Although Xiaomi has not confirmed the phone they will be launching on 14th February, thanks to their timer they added to their website which tells us that Xiaomi’s Next Phone in India would be Redmi Note 5, not Redmi 5.

Now let’s talk a bit about Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 is actually rebranded version of Redmi 5 Plus which was launched couple months back in China, it is expected to be launched in India for just around Rs. 9,500 to 10,000 for the lower variant that is 3 GB RAM + 32 GB ROM and for the 4 GB RAM + 64 GB ROM variant it might be roughly around Rs. 12,000 to 13,000.
Comming to the display Redmi Note 5 is expected to arrive with 5.7-inch FHD + display, and rumors say that the phone will be packing Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor with 12 MP Rear Camera and 5 MP Front Facing camera, both cameras will have flash ( Hopefully ).

The device will come with 4000 mAh battery which even Redmi Note 3 and Redmi Note 4 has, no improvements to the battery though. On the software side of things, it would be running on Android 7 Nougat with MIUI 9 on top of it, which is quite a bad thing, most phones these days comes with Android Oreo built out of the box.
